FISHING FEATURES

Ø      DETAILED SEAFLOOR TOPOGRAPHY (BATHYMETRY): Depicts ledges, reef formations, seamounts, depressions, ridges, and other seafloor elevation changes.

Ø      COMPREHENSIVE GRAPHIC DISPLAY OF LIVE BOTTOM REEFS:  Live Bottoms refer to hard limestone bottom areas where living reef communities have formed. Each site is numbered with corresponding coordinates and description.

Ø      ARTIFICIAL REEFS AND WRECK SITES: Each is named and numbered on image area with DGPS coordinates and detailed description of structures found on each reef site.

Ø      “NUMBER/ARROW” SYSTEM TO ALL NATURAL BOTTOM SITES: This Maps Unique feature allows exact pinpointing of sites and cross reference to coordinates without covering up site contours and bottom plots.

Ø      PRIME FISHING SITES LISTED IN EAST & WEST MAP MARGINS: All numbered sites show coordinates, site descriptions (low relief hard bottom, ledges, etc.) and water depths. 

Ø      FISHING INFORMATION SEPARATED INTO 6 COLORS: Allows maximum “user friendly” interpretation (contours in blue, natural bottom sites in red, artificial reefs and wrecks in green, depths in brown, live bottom reef plots in black, etc.)

Ø      COMMON PLACE NAMES ON IMAGE AREA: The Georgetown Hole, The Steeples, 210 Reef, Santee Banks, etc.

Ø      HIGHLIGHTED CURVE CONTOURS: For delineating significant terraces such as the 30-100 fathom curves and the major upper shelf breaks at 60’ and 90’ depths.

Ø      DETAILED NAVIGATION GRIDS: GPS grid is shown in five-minute intervals and Loran grid in ten microsecond intervals.  This detail allows user to accurately “work the entire map”.

Ø      ALL CHARTS IN THE SERIES ARE UPDATED THROUGH 2000,  All map editions are on a two year or less update cycle ensuring that retail dealers are always providing an up-to-date product.

Ø       MAPS UNIQUE IS OFFERED IN TWO SEPARATE SERIES COVERING THE SOUTHEASTERN UNITED STATES;

1.       THE “OFFSHORE” SERIES is the original Maps Unique design covering the near-shore and offshore regions going well past the100 fathom curve. SEE OFFSHORE INDEX

2.       THE “NEAR-SHORE” SERIES covers out to 100’of water (approx.40 miles) and is printed with two adjoining areas back-to-back.   This series is specifically designed for the traveling angler who visits multiple ports, fishes inside of 40 miles, and desires a smaller version of Maps Unique.  Four separate back-to-back maps will cover Cape Lookout, NC through Brunswick, GA    .SEE NEAR-SHORE INDEX

Ø       MAPS ARE FOLDABLE FOR EASY USE AND STORAGE

“Offshore” Size: 27x34 folds into 3 panels 

(foldable size is 14x11 )

“Near-Shore” Size: 24x17 folds into 4 panels

  (foldable size is 12x8 1/2 )

Ø       MAPS ARE LAMINATED: Each map is printed on heavy paper stock and edge-sealed laminated to ensure waterproofing and durability.
